About Our Service

Cumberland Goodwill EMS responds to over 6,000 emergencies a year for an average of 16 to 20 calls a day from our station at 102 West Ridge Street. We provide basic life support services to the Carlisle borough, North Middleton, South Middleton, West Pennsboro, Middlesex, Lower Frankford, Dickinson Townships and the Carlisle Barracks.

Through a partnership with West Shore EMS Cumberland Goodwill provides Mobile Intensive Care Units to central Cumberland County. West Shore EMS provides the advanced life support and Cumberland Goodwill provides the basic life support.

In addition to BLS and MICU services Cumberland Goodwill also provides non-emergency transport, special event stand-by services, fire department rehab services, and we are members of the South Central Regional Terrorism Task Force. Providing such a large variety of services we are constantly adding and evaluating the services that we provide.

Cumberland Goodwill EMS currently employs 14 full-time EMT's and 2 full-time administrators. We also have a roster of approximately 10 per diem EMT's. Our EMT's work 12 hour shifts and enjoy a range of benefits. For more information about career with Cumberland Goodwill EMS click here.

Current Events

Cumberland Goodwill EMS is now offering Medical Transport Services. These services include wheelchair, stretcher, and basic life support. For more information or to schedule a transport call 717-249-0012.
