TRAINING

The department engages in extensive training throughout the year. New recruits are required to take a variety of introductory courses during their probationary period. We conduct in-house training sessions plus state classes. Second Tuesday every week is our training night..

Additionally, firefighters are encouraged to take courses and seminars through the area community colleges. Such offerings are free to members of the department, as they can better provide for the protection of the Borough and townships.

FIRST FRIDAY

First Friday Events: On both April 4th and May 2nd . On April 4th company 40 had Rescue 40, and Rehab 40 on display. Company 45 had their Air Wagon on display along with their fire house display. Chief 3 was there with his vehicle along with many hand outs for all.

May 2nd company 40 had Rescue 40, Engine 40 and Rehab 40 on display. Company 45 had their Mini Pumper on display along with their fire house display. Chief 3 was there with his vehicle along with many hand outs for all.

Both days we had around 250 people turn out and had many people stop by and tour the apparatus and get hand outs. Below you will see some photos from both days

Below you will find photos from First Friday on June 6 08 and also photos from our Chicken BBQ on June 7 08. Again the First Friday we had a good turn out despite of the hot weather. And on our BBQ went just as well despite the warm weather. Would like to thank Station 45 on their help with the BBQ
